Mix&Match Prints

Fashion has abandoned the rules of yesterday, it's time to think outside the box and start mixing up prints you never thought would go together. I mean, opposites attract right? For those of you who've been playing it safe with solid colors and shying away from prints, well it's time to step out into the field! It's a clear sign of artistic ability for those who can make two realms of fabric go together like peaches and cream, so let's not restrict our creative minds of it's full potential. Here are a few of our favorite mix&matches from the Spring 2010 runway:

Thakoon Panichgul: the power of earth and vivid tones. This summer dress has a relaxed fit with colors that echoes "springtime."
Basso and Brooke: using digital art at it's highest form. These are the epitomes of the natural-born talent of mix&matching prints. *thepaparazzigirl's favorite pick

Dries van Noten: the architect's way. Mastering the technique through geometric forms and neutral tones.

A-Ten-Hut !!

Did you guys know "A-ten-hut" is an American military term that means, "come to attention!" We learn something new every day :) Anyways we wanted to bring it to YOUR attention that military inspired fashion is in. Going commando, not in that way!, has been appearing on runways since 2009 and will be around for 2010. Be on the lookout for large metallic buttons and strong shoulders. The more shiny decor the better! Take a look at a few of these pictures to get a better idea.

Is it summer yet?

For those of you who don't know we are based out of Austin, Tx and the weather has been pretty much chilly since the beginning of winter. About two weeks ago it actually snowed a few inches! I know you North Easterners are like ...errr... a few inches is nothing, but understand we NEVER get snow at most we get some sleet.. Texas is a desert. Any ways last week we got a glimpse of some spring/summer weather.... 70-80 degree weather with nothing in our way except sunshine. Which was perfect timing because we also got a glimpse of Yumi Kim's Spring/Summer line.... (look below)

As you can see, these are a few pieces from her line. They are filled with lots of BIG florals and vibrant colors which are going to be a huge hit when the weather warms up a bit. The materials are also very light for breath-ability so you won't be sweating up a storm in the summer heat. You definitely can expect The Paparazzi Girl to bring you some florals to add to you spring/summer wardrobe. So check back with us!

Have a wonderful day everyone!
